Welcome to the Official blog of,

Myspace Comments, Glitter Graphics at GlitterYourWay.com

Meaningless title. Isn’t it? Why? Kollywood’s headquarters is Kodambakkam only. Then how from Kodambakkam to Kollywood? Yes thats the matter. It has meaning. The title reflects a travel that i had. Both physical and mental travel. The physical travel that started from Kodambakkam in 23M bus which ended in a mental travel to Kollywood. Now going to share some mixed incidents and accidents.

It was July 22 when i was waiting for 23M bus to thiruvanmiyur from Kodambakkam. Got the bus and in North Usman Road few girls stepped in and moved towards last seat. That time driver put a sudden brake and one of the girls skidded and got struck in the iron bar in the last seat. She cried and fell down. All the passengers gathered there and blood was coming continuosly near her eye. Thank God her eye narrowly escaped. But she was very badly injured and all were shouting stop the bus, stop the bus. But the driver did not even care about that and was driving. I was really shocked to see that attitude. And finally after a long shout he stopped the bus and the girl was taken down by her friends. An old lady sitting in the bus told about the careless attitude of the driver that when the lady was about to get into the bus the driver told the lady to run her and come into the bus. Can that old lady run? Dont know when these kind of drivers will change. Ok lets come to the public. Are we perfect? Few stops after some ladies enterd and sat in back seat. Conductor told them, “There are lots of seat in front. Why sitting in back? Now only a girl got injured. For ur sake only saying. Bus will shake more backside”. The lady replied, “We know there is place in front. But we friends want to sit together. So we will sit in back row only”. Now see the attitude of public. Then how can we predict who can be blamed for this type of accidents. Every one should be rectified in their side. I concluded myself  like this and started to continue my travel.

During this type of travel, when we are alone only we use to think ourselves of something or hum a song. The former happened to me. My mental travel started then. To where? As usual to my usual place. Kollywood. I started to think of various scenes and suddenly the money laundry of Sivaji came to my mind. The dialogue,”Rich get richer and poor get poorer” impressed me a lot. I started to do various researches on this dialogue. How nation gets affected due to this inequality. Then a new concept was derived by me. Sorry guys it was derived in a flow and dont decide to scold or kill me for this derivation. The derivation is named as “Mark laundry”. This happens in all schools and colleges. You think just for a moment. Like, rich get richer and poor get poorer, in studies those who get more marks study well, again get marks, increase percentage. But those who are not getting good marks keep arrears, again not able to study, again arrears. Here also rich get richer, poor get poore, Oh God why this inequality.?What can we do? I am thinking t0 talk with Shankar and Rajini Kanth to take new film for this mark laundry after “Endhiran”. Let me try my best.

SPL

Posted by *Madan kumar* on May 14, 2009

Imagination has no boundaries. Any one has full freedom to imagine and this virtual world is the one which can be set how ever we want it to be without any effort. Because it is just an imagination. We can be however we want, we can go wherever we want, we can meet whomever we want, we can see whatever we want without any effort. How? Just in imagination. We need to put that effort to make this virtual become real. Wondering why i am talking seriously about imagination? Just imagine why i am talking seriously about imagination. Ok ok… cool… I will come to the matter.
We were studying for our semester exam on the morning of the exam day in our college lawn as usual. At the time of studying only, all other things other than studies come into our mind. And i am in no way the exception. A sudden imagination came into my mind which i shared with my friends also and soon all of our minds started to enter into the world of imagination. Thinking what the imagination is? Ok let us enter into that world.
How it would be if we start our SPL? Want to know what is that SPL? I think you all know about IPL. It means Indian Premier League, a cricket tournament organised by forming teams within India based on Indian states or regions. Our imagination is that how it will be if we start SPL, SIM Premier League. It is just for imagination and fun. No other motive. How can we form? This is what we discussed on that exam day morning. We started to form teams within our Sim members based on the location of each one and we have decided the names for teams. We have formed eight teams. I have listed the result of our imagination which carries the team names with the owner of the teams.

1. Vettuvankeni Victory Guys – Aravind Raj
2. Dindigul Dragons – Madan Kumar
3. Pudukkottai Pulis – Kathiravan
4. Vada Chennai Veerars – Joel
5. Velachery Vengais – Ram, Vasanth
6. Villupuram Vipers – Nirmal Kumar
7. Tambaram Terrors – Hari
8. Adyar Avengers – Vivek

How is the team names? How is our limitless imagination? Soon we are going to start the auction for selection of players for each teams by the team owners. Wait for our future post for more details regarding the schedule of matches, the players list of each team, the brand ambassadors etc.
The above mentioned is purely based on our imagination and carries no other motive.

LIC வந்தாச்சு இறங்கு இறங்கு !!

Posted by ~Joel.red~ on April 10, 2009

February 27 2009 is an unforgettable day in the life of  three Members of our SIM Kazhagam namely, Aravind Raj (ECR MP), Madan Kumar and Myself ( Joel Ronald). That was the day in which We learnt a great lesson in life. That was the day in which we realized how true is the Proverb “கற்றது கையளவு, கல்லாதது உலகளவு” (Known is a drop, unkown is an ocean)

It was on the Evening of 26th Feb i got a SMS from Madan asking me whether i could accompany him to Ritchie Street the Next day, as he wanted to buy some Computer Accessories. I said ok, planned everthing and went to sleep without knowing what is going to happen the next day.

The Next day, that is on 27th February morning i got up, got ready and as per the plan i  started from home. After waiting for about 45minutes the bus came and i boarded the bus. Meanwhile on the other end, Body soda and ECR MP had started their 3o Rupees ticket tour. After we assembled at a meeting point, we went on for the purchase.

lic_building_chennai

First we got into a Shop to buy Monitor for Body Soda, they Showed us a Monitor. பொட்டு எல்லாம் வச்சு பார்க்கவே ரொம்ப மங்களகரமா இருந்துச்சு (eng). But the cost told by the sales person was too much, we tried our best to bargain, but  no gain, only mouth strain, so  hereafter i should refrain, from bargain.

After finishing our purchase we started our way back to home. But the greatest queston  was how to carry the Monitor home without breaking it. That Monitor was weighing a Ton. Everyone agreed to carry the Monitor in a Round Robin manner ( See, this is an real life application of what we learnt in OS at college :-P ) First it was our President who tried his hands in the experiment and then Madan and then Myself like this the first round was over. Meanwhile we had crossed the road and had reached the other side of the road opposite to ritchie street.

Something might have struck the minds of the guys with me, I’m not sure whether it’s Madan or our President came up with the idea of boarding a bus to reach the next bus stop that is the LIC Bus stop, because all Buses do not stop at the bus stop opposite to Ritchie street. Since the Monitor was too heavy to carry, i thought  சரி எதோ பசங்க அக்கறையா சொல்றாங்களேன்னு  பஸ்ல ஏறினேன்  (eng). Since Madan and our President had 30 Rupees ticket, i alone took  ticket and additonally one ticket for the Monitor (Luggage ticket).

We boarded the bus, took the ticket and just relaxed that’s it, Madan started shouting LIC வந்தாச்சு இறங்கு இறங்கு !! (eng) I didn’t even had the time to react, there wasn’t any time to think where we are, whether we could reach LIC so soon or any other thought. I somehow managed to jump out of the Bus with the Monitor in hand. Only then i realized i was standing at the Middle of the road and LIC was nowhere near where we were and we haven’t event travelled 20 metres in the Bus. I turned towards Madan, he couldn’t withstand my Look and started laughing. This is what had happened, the bus had stopped in  a signal and Madan who was standing, bent down to see where we were. His eyes somehow managed to locate a small signboard with the caption LIC in an unknown building , so without giving a second thought or verfiying whether it was the LIC building he had started shouting LIC வந்தாச்சு இறங்கு இறங்கு !!

As one could guess we had no other option than to start walking towards LIC, continuing the Round Robin technique. Ok, அதெல்லாம் இருக்கட்டும்  என்ன பா எதோ Great Lesson.. Known is a drop… அப்படி இப்படின்னு சொன்னன்னு கேட்கலாம் (eng). Yeah yeah i’m coming to that:

The Moral or the greatest Lesson that we learnt out of this incident is “When you take ticket for LIC, get down only when the Bus reaches LIC” If you keep this in mind you can become a great person in this world.

Ok, ok, please, please don’t stare at me like that, இப்ப என்ன நடந்து போச்சுன்னு இப்படி மொறைக்கறீங்க (eng) ??? Ok Cool down, coool down 8-) . It’s not my mistake, you should have known what/whose  blog you are reading :-)

And we somehow managed to reach home safely without breaking the  Monitor. At this point i’m reminded of one more idea given by our two guys. That is to take 30 rupees ticket for the Monitor too, since we had to board different buses to reach home and we have to take luggage ticket at every bus we board. I didn’t know whether to laugh or to Cry. I guess you too are  in  similar state now. Cool down :-D

[ PS :

1.  I'm posting here in Bluntcorner after 5 long months

2. If you don't know to read Tamil, don't worry,  just point your mouse on the link named (eng) next to each Tamil sentence and you can see the romanised version of the Tamil words appearing in the Tool Tip  ]

Studies and only studies

Posted by *Madan kumar* on March 11, 2009

In my last post i told that the post is similar to Shankar’s film based on “if it happens concept”.That is the concept is not possible to happen. But how nice it would be if it happens. In this post the concept is that it is not difficult to happen. But it has not happened yet. Let us roll back the days to January 31, 2009.

That day only we had our project first review. After finishing it me, aravind, ram, nirmal and vasanth planned to go to matinee show to any theatre. The film was my rocking Dhanush’s Padikkadhavan. There was a dilemma to choose the theatre. The theatres nominated were Melody, Ganapathyram, Udhayam, Kaasi, Sathyam and after so many discussions two theatres were decided Kaasi and Udhayam and we caught the city bus and there we were discussing which among the two to select and finally Kaasi was the winner.

Then in bus we were talking about one important imagination. That is, imagine we friends will always talk about studies and nothing else other than studies in college time. Even if we go to home we will always think about college and studies. Even in lunch time, interval time, in college bus we will talk only about studies, assignment, project etc etc. Do you think this is possible to happen? Why not? Definitely it can happen. When? When we people join the film institute and take any course.

Do you know how? Because now itself we are any time talking about film, music, direction, editing, choreography, cinematography, hero, heroine, theatre, release, hit, flop and what are else possible although it is only a time pass. And if we were studying in film institute then our time pass changes to profession and the interest we have in cine industry will make us legends in college. Ram told that if we were studying in film college will we go to project centre? No we will do our own research project and all reviews will be so successful and we will voluntarily arrange for industrial visits, field works and now we going to theatre can be informed to college formally as field work. And will we have the word arrear in university exams? No. Every sem we will be the class toppers. If mam gives any assignment then we will finish and submit the next day itself and we will sincerely prepare for even class tests and monthly tests.

Like this our discussion was going till we reached Kaasi theatre. This imagination came because that much interest we have on cine field. But now we have some other responsibilities other than this. The profession we have chosen now and upcoming duties. We have to first fulfil those duties and then let us see whether this imagination comes true.

If It Can Expire

Posted by *Madan kumar* on January 21, 2009

This post is similar to Shankar’s film. That is the concept of “If it happens”. The thing is not easy to happen but how nice it would be if it happens. Likewise this post is one which is based on purely imaginary concept but how nice it would be if this imagination becomes real.

Let us get in to the post. “If it can expire”. What does the “It” mean. It means to the one which is the main reason for all the disputes and problems in this world. But for which every one of us is searching and to attain which many are leading their every day activity. Yes i am talking about money. Now consider that similar to eatables and medicines money also has Expiration date. That is we have to spend that money within a week or two otherwise it will expire and will have no value. Then will any one search for money every second to save money for their children, grand children, for next 10 decades etc? Will there be any black market, corruption, bribery etc? Every one will earn only for that day or week, spend it for expenditures and again earn for next round. No possibility of saving in bank, black market, searching for more and more money. Then there will be no corrupt minds because all illegal activities are done only for the sake of earning money, more and more money. There will be no jealous, no disputes, no money inflammation,no inequality. Because all are equal every second. They will earn only what is needed and will be no rich and  poor because how much ever a man has money he can have it only till expiration and eventhough he can buy gold, diamonds and save it instead of money he cannot use it because if he sells it for money he cannot spend that much money within the expiration time. So it is of no use.

It is just my imagination and dont know how effective it is or it is very childish. I wrote what came in my mind. Let me see what opinions come from others in the form of comments.

MY DREAM ELEVEN

Posted by *Madan kumar* on November 21, 2008

I would like to say the lines said in the beginning of the film Chennai-28.” Though our country is divided into many states, languages and culture, in one thing  no one can beat our unity. That is cricket.”

It is 100% true because if we think of it, some eleven people are playing and if they win means we will jump from earth to sky and if they lose means we will be sad as though we played and missed. It is because they are not referred as eleven. They are said as Indian team. It actually brings a pride for a country when its team wins a match in any game. But for India it is cricket which is considered the most.

I was not interested in this game till seventh standard. You believe or not I did not know what is called a run, a wicket or a pitch. But it was because of my father I knew about the rules of this wonderful game and started watching the matches. When i started watching, the captain was Azaruddin and the team was called Sachin-Ganguly team (the openers). If they gave a solid opening the team is sure to win but if they were out the entire team falls following them. But the way both the openers come in like a Marathi tiger and a Bengal tiger, it will be a visual feast to watch. But one thing I disliked was the entire team was dependent on them.

Then Australia rose up to the peak and stood there for a hat-trick world cup win. It was that no one can go near them. It was because each and every player there contributed equally to them. And South Africa famous for confidence. I started dreaming my Indian team. I dreamt a team with lot of young blood, with dedicated youths who will be waiting to achieve something and few senior players as a guide. That time the captaincy went to Ganguly who is the best ever captain I have seen. He was the one who brought in some of the young players in to the team. The aggresion (in the positive sense) in him to manage the team brought many victories. But his bad luck, he lost the captaincy, the place, everything. Then the team was struggling especially during 2007 world cup.

I was watching who will be the next rescuer. Then came the young Dhoni as a captain in such a young age. He proved his eficiency as a captain. Some may say that it is simply his luck. But I cannot agree this. Because luck cannot favour in every match without talent. I agree that the time he came, the team also started to form well. And the way he does his captaincy, I could see another Ganguly in that. But the thing is that Ganguly will get tensed soon at critical situations but Dhoni will be cool at any stage and manages. Thats what I admire. To tell about the team, it is now perfect as what i wished with a strong opening by Young Gambhir and Shewag and followed by young but full formed batsmen. And in the middle, like a firewall comes Yuvraj on whom I can see another Robin Singh( in fielding) the player I liked most that days. And now I can see my team boldly facing any team whether it is Australia or any other. Even we had continuous wins against Australia and now the consecutive wins against England.

And now the team is not dependent on one player. All are participating equally whether it is bowling, batting or fielding. And whether the team wins or not they are fighting till the last ball and especially the tricks that Dhoni is doing with sudden bowling changes and batting order, field positions. I would like to say a moment in T20 world cup finals against Pakistan. It was just 6 runs needed for pakistan in last 4 or 5 balls and Misbah was there sweeping all balls backside. Like that he played few shots and they were about to win. And that time he played a same kind of shot backwards and the ball was flying towards backwards boundary and I thought the game is over. But suddenly a hand came there from Sreesanth to catch it and thats it. They were all out and we won. No body knew when Dhoni placed a man at that point in the field. Any how now the Indian team is filled with youths and few seniors like Sachin, Sehwag and Harbhajan. And some experienced players like Robin Singh, Srikanth in the selection board.

But one sad news is that the Bengal Tiger has retired and we cannot replace his place. Any how the team is now well settled and are proving in every matches.  I can see some people saying that it is boring to see matches because India is always winning every match. See how the team has changed  and formed. Let us see what happens in future.  I want the team to continue its progress.

JUST THINK……..

Posted by *Madan kumar* on October 20, 2008

After the sms culture became popular, forwarding jokes came into practice. It is a nice thing because we can get a chance to enjoy the joke and laugh for sometime. But i think now this culture is losing its value just because of the Sardarji jokes. Is it right? Who are sardarjis? Are they a comic character or cartoon character to tell jokes on them? Sardarjis come from the land where they love our country like any thing and we can find them as great patriotic people. Many such great people and leaders have come from their land and more over they are also Indians and we are also Indians. Why we Indians are portraying another Indian as a fun characrter. This shows how foolish we are. We are not insulting other. We are insulting ourselves. I accept that jokes are told just for fun. But can’t we tell jokes with some other imaginary character? And one more  culture is telling jokes on one American, one Russian and one Indian. Some people use this joke to express value of Indians. I always use to hear such ones. But some simply tell this joke to under estimate our nation. Even small kids start telling this kind of jokes and sardarji jokes. See, how those innocent minds are spoiled by these kinds of practices. . Jokes are told to keep us relaxed and sometimes we can use to convey a message through comedies. But a joke should not be used to spread bad practices like one Indian insulting another Indian as in case of sardar jokes. Just think….. Even if we are not able to do any good to our nation, no problem, simply be quiet. But avoid becoming the cause of under estimating or insulting our nation and nation members. So we people must think of it and i would be happy if atleast one realises what i am saying and stop saying such jokes. We people may say such jokes just for fun. But we cannot make sure that all those who hear our jokes will also take it only for fun. Dont encourage people saying sardarji jokes or any such which is not advisable for our nation’s good.

Sensed the Death Fear

Posted by *Madan kumar* on October 13, 2008

Yesterday was the day where i went till the core of my death and came outside. I was walking in the street after taking my record print out. It was the time the heavy rain had just stopped. The road was full of stagnant water and no way to walk. So i walked by passing through the entrance of each house shifting from one house entrance to other.Doing so i was about to cross a house entrance and one thing came out of that house suddenly and i was struck at that moment because the thing was the one on seeing which my nerves will vibrate like any thing and my heart will beat twice or thrice the usual rate. Yes it was not a thing. It was a dog. It was looking constantly at me and i cannot stand at that place and cannot run also as there was no way in the street and i was having my print out also. I also looked at the dog saying to it,please if you want to bite me leave me with small bites. Dont expect too much with me. உசுருக்கு சேதாரம் இல்லாம சின்ன காயத்தோட என்ன அனுப்பி வச்சிடு. Thinking like this i crossed that place closing my eyes. Fortunately the dog did not do any thing. I dont know whether it was not hungry or it could not find any flesh in me. Any way I was fortunate yesterday and the dog showed sympathy.

மனம் திறந்து …..

Posted by *Madan kumar* on September 30, 2008

Before the release of the film ‘Kuselan’the director of the film told the theme of the story in an official meet “A man can succeed in his life without any relatives and some may even without parents but no man can succeed without Friends” The film may be flop but the last sentence of the theme is a great hit in my life. I realized this one week before.

Some 10 days before, it was announced in my class that an on-campus is to be conducted on September 19 in our college. As soon as it was announced, Lakshmikanth from my back bench called me and shook hands with me. I asked why? He said “Congratulations you are going to be selected this time” I asked how? He told, “மனசுல ஒரு பட்சி சொல்லுதுடா ” So now itself i wish you all the best” being confused i said “Ok, thanks”. Till September 19 he was frequently calling me and wishing me, telling “You will be selected”. I could find a pure wish in his words.

It was on the eve of September 18, i was sitting at home and seeing the Aptitude book. A message came from Nithya which read ”All the Best, tommorrow”. I was not able to reply as there was no balance in my mobile. Next day morning I woke up and saw the cellphone, another message from same person. “All the best, be confident today” Then also i could not reply. I went to college and came to know that Kathiravan too had got the same message. So, we together thanked her through his mobile. Then, we started preparing for Aps, In meantime, Lakshmikanth came to me, this time he was very confident he said, “You will surely be selected”T. That itself was a booster for me.

Then time came to assemble in the Mini-Auditorium. All started moving to the Auditorium meanwhile we SIM members took some photographs standing along with our files in full formals. Then some of the boys namely Ravi, Gomathi Sankar, Sathish, Gopalakrishan were wishing All the Best to all the Candidates. Then after attending ppt, we went for the first round where in the hall we wished all the bestto each and every known person in the hall. After finishing 1st round(Aps), we had lunch and waited till waited till 3′o clock. Results were announced, 1st name was Hemachandran from CSE, I was expecting his name he is a good problem solver. 2nd Madan Kumar CSE. I was both happy and scared that as like Infosys my name was second and there is going to be no time to prepare for the 2nd round. Then the other friends names were announced specially to tell, M. Rajhariny CSE, I was very happy that my friend was selected. Then to my great excitement it “Vasanth Kumar CSE” Oh my GOD !! another SIM member selected. I was just about to hug him.

The other names i was expecting did not come. I was little bit sad. But those people burrying there disappointment, wished me “All the Best” with a smiling face. There I was able see a pure wish.
We all attended the 2nd round and came out to wait for results, meanwhile Hariny gave her mobile saying Joel on-line, Joel spoke- All the Best, when i call you in the evening a good news should be heard. I said ok. Some hours later, results were announced. “Madan Kumar and Rajhariny from CSE”. I was shocked only two out of seven from CSE to the 3rd round. This is because some where tensed in the Tech HR and were not able to answer though they knew the answers. Moreover, they had their debut HR round. Then Myself and Hariny went for the General HR. I was the first person, I wished the HR and sat down.

HR: How are you?
Me: Fine Sir !!
HR: You are from which dept?
Me: I am from CSE department, sir.
HR: You have got nice marks in School level, Why didn’t you opt for Medical?
Me: I chose my career based on my Interest sir and not based on my marks. Due to my Interest in Computer Science,      I refused Biology.
HR: How can you have your Identity in this Society?
Me: If we contribute something to our society as per our position, we can surely have our own identity sir.
HR: In your hobbies, you have mentioned “Lyrics writing” What kind of lyrics do you write?
Me: Usually I write in Tamil sir, I will take some interesting songs and write different lyrics for that tune.
HR: Can you say a lyric?
Me: Can I say in Tamil Sir?
HR: Sure
Me: (I told the one, that I first wrote in my life)
HR: Can you say the meaning?
Me: (I said the meaning in English)
HR: What is life for you?
Me: It is like a puzzle sir.
HR: How?
Me: We cannot understand life directly sir, we will have some clue like things to be followed for solving. Else it  becomes a mystery sir.
HR: Nice meeting you Madan.
Me: Thank you sir.

Then Hariny had her HR and we were asked to wait in a class room, Meanwhile we were talking to each other. Soon Hariny had a call and after speaking she gave it to me. It was Lasmi, my friend. She wished me “All the Best” and then S.S. Priyadarshini also. Then i got SMS from Ram wishing us all the Best. I would like to tell about Hemachandran, Vasanth and Vijay who called me and asked what happened, when i came out after HR round. I told them and they wished me telling, “Sure, you will be selected”. Then Hariny told me that, “We two were eliminated in Infosys final round and same two were now in last stage, if one were to be eliminated let it be me and not you since for you only job is needed now” I could not believe my ears and my eyes to see a true well wisher and a friend. She also told me that you insist all your friends to practice talking in English so that you all can be placed easily.

Then 1 hour later results were announced. First name was ‘Madan Kumar’, i was greatly relieved from my tension and I could see the same happiness in Hariny’s face, next was ‘Rajhariny’ Thank God none was eliminated. Altogether 15 students were selected from our college. Then we had the Photo session (My session) and then went home. To my surprise, my cell phone Inbox was full with all my friends messages.

Infact i did not inform any of these news to my parents, but my parents knew all the matter through my friends. Joel has called two times, Aravind called and I could see a great happiness in their voice. Then i had SMS from all my friends from girls side. The same Lakshmikanth called me and wished. I said, “I can never forget you in my life da” Then the next two days also my school friends and SIM members wished. On Monday at college all my classmates wished me, Vivek and Aravind were writing on board, “Congrats to Dora and Sullan”. Thanks, they have accepted me as sullan. Then i had a happy wish from Ram in the form of 5 star.
I feel the main reason behind my excited moment is the pure wishes, i.e. wish with no expectation from my parents and all my friends. I would like to quote a song,

I had all the three from my friends.
1. It was a great help when I studied with my friends during semester exams when we shared whatever we know.
2. When I had a problem in going to tour, I had a financial help from my friend who said that you don’t worry you should also have the tour.
3. I could see the  joy and excitement in my friends face when something good happened to me.

So I can see all the three qualities in my friends.
I am ever thankful to the Almighty for giving me such a wonderful friends.
All the pure wishes of all my friends mentioned in this post made me feel my excited moment.
I tell to myself “Don’t forget these friends in your life”.
